You know, some time ago I wrote about failing to share my story. For some reason unknown to me, I have been unable to get someone interested in the experiences I have gathered being transgender. Even the slightest things like even having transgender acquaintances or being member in some kind of association. Or readers for this blog…
To be honest, I considered joining the dgti, the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Trans*- und Inter*geschlechtlichkeit e. V.”, but the thought of meeting more of my “kind” more or less randomly, which are often really deep in trouble, creeped me out.
Other than that, believe me, I tried. Maybe not too hard, but I offered several times on different occasions. Noone was interested. Until today, that is. I don’t yet know, what will come of it, but I offered my experiences to someone training psychotherapists and after a really long time she answered my email and wrote she found the offer interesting and included a time and date on which I probably will speak with her students via zoom.
I’m definitely excited!
